There are hundreds of thousands of children in institutions across Europe. Many are living in degrading and inhumane conditions in countries where minimum standards of childcare and protection are not being met.

We need your help to stop this damaging treatment of children.

It is not just a case of buying new beds, bedding and toys.

To make real and lasting change we are focusing on health, education and welfare. This includes finding ways to strengthen and support families, improving national foster care and adoption so that vulnerable children can be brought up within loving families in their own countries and reforming welfare systems so that children are not put into institutions unnecessarily.
