How you can help : Children's High Level Group

There are over 1 million children in institutions across Europe. Only 4% of them are orphans. Many are living in degrading and inhumane conditions in countries where minimum standards of childcare and protection are not being met.

These children don’t just need new beds, bedding and toys. To make real and lasting change CHLG is focusing on improving healthcare, education and welfare services. This includes finding ways to strengthen and support families; improving national foster care and adoption so that vulnerable children can be brought up within loving families in their own countries; and reforming welfare systems so that children are not put into institutions unnecessarily.

You can make a huge difference to these children’s lives by raising money to support our work.

There are lots of fun ways that you can raise money to help children suffering in appalling conditions across Europe. Here are just a few ideas to get you started at home, work or college, ranging from organising an office quiz to becoming a dog walker for the day!
