The aim of CHLG is to ensure that a common minimum standard for children is implemented across the whole of Europe. Initially CHLG is targeting a number of countries where it can really make a difference for children across a range of issues. These countries include the Czech Republic, Moldova, and Romania
The majority of work that has been done since the CHLG was formed has been within Romania, setting up a range of initiatives that can be rolled out to other countries in the future. These include the Community Action programme, the Edelweiss competition, and the Green Line. Click here for more information about our work in Romania.

In December 2006, CHLG signed a formal agreement with Vasile Tarlev, Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Moldova, to extend its work into Moldova. In September 2007 CHLG started work in Czech Republic; pilot projects are scheduled to start shortly in Georgia and Armenia.
